'Boutique, fairly used sellers are no rivals'

Date: 2015-09-20

Boutique and fairly used sellers popularly known as BK are not rivals and competitors with each other.

Speaking with The Herald, Miss Omotoke, owner of Zalot Boutique located along Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin, explained why and how the business was not competitive. She stated that "when we talk about fairly used and original things, the difference is clear for those who know the quality and good taste will know that there is a big difference between the two."

She stated that her mother had been in the business for so many years and also due to lack of employment in the country after school, I have to go into the business too and this business has been very encouraging and I do not see in any way how the fairly used one's are affecting us".

"Normally, when you want to start up a business like this you have to create awareness to the people, let them know what you are doing, we started ours by going from one place to another with my car telling people about it, before we finally opened she disclosed".

Speaking further, Omotoke explained how the business had been very profitable and encouraging due to the fact that with the business, she now has her own car and also expecting more good things from it. She stated that most of the goods were brought from the United Kingdom, USA, Turkey and sometimes Dubai just to get quality stuffs.

However, she advised those who want or may like to come into the business to make sure the location is very ok for the business and make sure they are also connected, because business requires connection and also to develop the habit of tolerance and being focused, because when you don't have focus sometimes business can be very provoking the way it gets dry sometimes and also when you first get to a particular place, market may not come as expected but with time it will get better.

She also stated that the business was not necessary to be started with a lot of money but if you have the sense of business you can start with little and later become bigger and popular.
