Governor Bukola Saraki condemns the gruesome murder of Guardian's Assistant News Editor
Dr Saraki, in a condolence message to the family of the deceased, the management and staff of the Guardian Newspapers limited and the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists said the sudden death of yet another media guru has thrown the entire media family in the country into mourning.
His death, the governor stated, is one death, too many for the media industry which recently lost another top journalist with ThisDay Newspapers to the cold hands of death by yet to be identified assailants.
While praying God to grant the soul of the deceased peaceful rest, Saraki called on security agents in the country to do everything humanly possible to unravel those behind the dastardly act with a view to bringing them to book and to repose the confidence that an average Nigerian have in their ability to check the rising trend of unresolved killings.
He, however, prayed God to grant the deceased’s family and the entire journalists in the country the fortitude to bear the loss. Ohu, it will be recalled, was shot dead by an unknown assailants in his apartment in Egbeda, a Lagos suburb in the early hours of Sunday.
