Buhari'll not embezzle our common wealth -Gov. Ahmed
The spate of crude oil theft which has impacted negatively on national resources will be checked by All Progressives Congress (APC) federal government if its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari is elected by Nigerians in the March 28 elections.
Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed said this during a town hall meeting with the people of Babanloma in Ifelodun local government area of the State.
Governor Ahmed said it is a national embarrassment that problem of crude oil theft has remained unresolved despite federal government's concession of pipeline surveillance to ex-Niger Delta militants and other nationalities group.
According to the Governor, now that Nigeria has found itself at the crossroads, the APC presidential candidate remains the best option as "Buhari will not embezzle our common wealth; Buhari will not govern with impunity".
Dr Ahmed said the APC as an opposition party prime for national good was strengthened by the fact that the Peoples Democratic Party controlled federal government has failed Nigerians in service delivery, protection of lives and property.
At Oloru in Moro local government area where a similar town hall interactive session was held, Governor Ahmed urged the people to vote enmass for the APC as this week's election would help in redeeming the destiny of Nigeria. He added that the elections mark a fulcrum of opportunities in driving Nigeria to greater posterity, economic growth and national cohesion.
