Kwara PDP debunks manipulation of ward congress delegates' list

Date: 2014-11-27

Following successful completion of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) ward congress in Kwara State , which held recently, the pioneer chairman of PDP in the state, Mr Kunle Sulyman, has debunked the allegation of manipulation of delegates list.

Sulyman, who made this known in a press release on Wednesday, a copy of which was made available to the Nigerian Tribune, said when a thorough investigation was conducted into the allegation, the party found that there was no iota of truth in the allegation.

According to him, all the delegates' lists emanating from the ward congress were intact, warning that should anyone harbour any tendency to alter the lists, such a person should have a rethink, given of the consequences such act portend.

The release added that: "there have been insinuations against one of our leaders, Hajia Bola Shagaya. These insinuations border on issues about whom this great leader of our party is backing among the gubernatorial aspirants."

"Let me place on record that there is no truth in this allegation. Hajia Bola Shagaya has declared her total neutrality in the competition among the numerous aspirants to the various political offices. In particular, she is completely neutral on the question of who wins the PDP gubernatorial ticket in Kwara State," it said.

Mr Sulyman, therefore, urged members of the party in Kwara, to remain focused and steadfast, noting that the party would emerge victorious in the 2015 elections, should all its members unite and eschew rancour.
