Governor Bukola Saraki commiserates with the government, people of Bauchi over Emir's death
In a condolence message to the deceased monarch’s family, government and people of Bauchi Emirate, Dr Saraki said his death came as a rude shock considering his fatherly advice that would be missed by all.
The Governor, who described the death of the late Emir as an irreparable loss to the entire country, said his wise counsel and generous disposition would be greatly missed by all.
"The late Emir of Bauchi was one of the foremost traditional rulers and a great leader of Nigeria whose contribution to the socio-political development of the country was unquantifiable", Saraki said.
He prayed Allah to grant the repose of the deceased monarch Aljanat-Fridaoz and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The late Emir, who was born in Bauchi in 1933, ascended the throne in 1983 and died at the age of 77, after spending 27 years on the throne.
