Gov Ahmed charges Accountants on electronic accounting
"If ANAN drives it and makes it part and parcel of its main focus and contribution to efficiency in public service, it will naturally ensure a strong policy at the federal level that will trickle down to the state and of course the local government levels", he said.
The Governor commended ANAN for its training and retraining programmes, adding that standards in the accounting professions should not be compromised as such could have negative impact on the economy.
The Chairman, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Mr Bayo Apaguntan said the body, chartered through Act 75 of 1993 was established to ensure that members have practical knowledge to cope with modern and future challenges in the accounting profession.
He commended the Abdulfatah Ahmed administration for its developmental agenda for Kwara State.
