Saraki challenges critics of his late father

Date: 2014-11-18

ELDEST son of late political icon in Kwara State and immediate past governor of the state, Senator Bukola Saraki, as well as a senior lecturer at the department of Political Science, University of Ilorin, Professor Hassan Saliu, have challenged those criticising the legacies of Dr Olusola Olusola Saraki to proffer better alternative welfare model than those offered by the politician while alive.

Senator Saraki described his late father as one of those that believed in one Nigeria "without given preference to political, ethnic or religious differences."

The duo spoke in Ilorin on Monday during second commemorative colloquium for late Waziri of Ilorin, Dr Olusola Saraki, organised by the national secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in collaboration with the state council of the NUJ.

Senator Saraki described his late father as one of those that believed in one Nigeria "without given preference to political, ethnic or religious differences."
