Ranchers Fans beat Kwara Utd Cameraman, SA Sports, Officials
A statement signed by the General Manager of the club, Alhaj Haruna Maigidansanma said the harassment of officials led to the beating of the team's cameraman and the Special Assistant to the Kwara Governor on Sport Matters.
The statement added that the harassment led to the match officials allowing the host team to go violent on the visitors' players leading to the first goal of the host while Ranchers players pulled the team's goalkeeper down before they scored the goal.
"The fans forcefully took the ball boys uniforms after half time and our officials beaten
"They threw objects at our bench and on the pitch making our players to lose concentration which led to their second goal
"The fans beat up our cameramen and denied them the opportunity to film where the match officials are being beaten up" the statement read.
The statement also said that it took the match officials more than twenty minutes before they came out for the second half. It also condemned the action of the Chairman of Ranchers Bees, Abdulazeez Muhammed who verbally attacked the match officials at half time and asked that the fans to attack some of the team's officials.
The club in the statement asked the management of Nigeria National League (NNL), to award Kwara United FC three points and three goals. The statement also said the team was denied opportunity to go to the dressing room at half time and decried the action of men of the Nigerian Police as shameful as they watch when the team's cameraman and officials are being beaten. It also alleged that Ranchers Bees Chairman threatened that Kwara Utd officials and players would not go out of the pitch alive.
