Three suspects, Anthony Omooba, Segun Aniyikaye and Adedotun Stanley were yesterday remanded in prison by a Kwara State Magistrate's Court over kidnap.

The prosecutor, Nasir Yusuf, told the court that the case was transferred from Offa Police Station to the Department of Criminal Investigation in Ilorin.

He said on July 6, one Owoeye Bosede, reported at the police station in Offa that her daughter, Owoeye Temitayo, was missing and that she was last seen with one of the suspects, Anthony Omooba.

"Investigation conducted revealed that Anthony Omooba kidnapped Owoeye Temitayo on July 2", the prosecutor said.

He added: "The first accused criminally took the ATM cards of the missing lady a day after she was kidnapped and withdrew the sum of N6000 from a commercial bank and N4000 from the other bank account".

The accused pleaded not guilty to the offence and Magistrate Mohammed Ibrahim ordered that they should be remanded at the Federal Prison Yard, Oke-Kura. The case has been adjourned to September 2, 2014.
