The International Aviation College commences operation
The Aviation College, which commenced flight training with 12 pioneer students spread across the country, started from zero level and is expected within 15 months, to be licensed with the Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR) and Advance Training Pilot License (ATPL).
The College, according to the Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Transport, Mr. Deji Oni, will also commence training of professionals in Aviation Traffic Control, Cabin Crew, Aviation Security, Aviation English as well as Aviation Safety, among others.
The Kwara State Government, which is the sole financier of the Aviation College, Oni said, plans to collaborate with the private sector for the rapidly expanding Nigeria and International Aviation Industry.
"The college", he said, " is to produce superior pilots and aviation professionals with focus on safety quality and responsibility and be able to compete favorably with it counterparts the world over."
According to the governor's aide, the IAC is equipped with the state-of-the art aircrafts, classroom equipment, flight stimulators and training aids to enable the College stand the test of time.
The State's Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed is expected to perform the official flag off of commencement of flight training operation at the College.
