We Must Define Course of Governance - Ahmed
Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been called upon to provide a better leadership to the people of Nigeria by defining the course of governance as according to him, the country will not move forward with the type of governance being practiced by the PDP.
Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmad made the remark yesterday in Abuja at the All Progressives Congress(APC)summit. The impunity with which the ruling party is handling the affairs of the country, he said will not augur well for its future.
He said if the PDP has taken the welfare of the people of Nigeria as its main priority, the country would have developed within the last decade of democracy and the available resources and the money the country gets within the time.
Ahmed accused the PDP of rampant profligacy and pillaging of resources which he said gave rise to the massive unemployment among the youths who were used by some unscrupulous elements to formemt trouble in many parts of the country.
He decried the attitude of the ruling party of going after people who criticises its unpopular policies while ignoring the issues that need to be addressed in order to better the country.
He added that unless people wanted to live in the present condition of grinding poverty and widespread insecurity, they must actualise their dream of changing their lives for the better ,as according to him, the people cannot pretend that all is well while they live in constant fear and want.
He said with the emergence of the APC, the ruling party has since been thrown off balance as it has been forced on many occasions to jettison its unpopular coercive tactics of intimidation and impunity and disrespect to laid down rules as witnessed in Rivers State.
