NILDS DG for Kwara NUJ independence lecture Tuesday
The lecture which will be delivered by Director-General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Abuja, Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, is themed" Ensuring True Separation of Power Between Legislatures and Executives- The Role of NILDS."
It also marked the 28th edition of the Council's media Parliament Lecture Series.
A statement by the council's secretary, Omotayo Ayanda, stated that media executives and members of the State House of Assembly committee on Information are also expected to grace the lecture.
The event according to the statement will hold at the NUJ press centre beginning from 10 am.
The statement while applauding NILDS activities under the leadership of Prof Suleiman, particularly praised the institute for organising capacity building for press corps attached to National and State Houses of Assembly.
It also hailed the institute's proposed establishment of a Democracy Radio station ,nothing that such initiatives would further deepen democracy in Nigeria.
The statement urged members of the council/s to attend the event .
