Ahead of next Monday's planned visit by President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to Kwara State, the state chapter of the party has set machinery in motion to mobilise supporters to receive the team.

Already, PDP bill boards have been placed on strategic points of Ilorin. The bill boards have Jonathan's picture and the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, and some PDP stakeholders in the state.
Kwara PDP caretaker committee chairman, Solomon Edoja, had disclosed on Sunday during the party's unity rally that Jonathan would visit on Monday to receive defectors into the party.

Speaking on the scheduled visit, chairman of the reception committee for last Sunday's rally, Captain Shadrack Popoola, urged PDP supporters to demonstrate the same support given to the party come Monday 3rd March when the President will visit the state.

He  commended members for their large turnout and orderly conduct during the party's unity rally held at the open field of Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Ilorin. 
Popoola lauded members of the party's interim executive committee for the way they have been running the affairs of the party, urging members to rally round them to ensure the success of the party come 2015.
