Be on your toes, Moronfoye charges Information staff
Kwara State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Prince Tunji Moronfoye, has called on the staff of the ministry to work harder in the performance of their statutory responsibility.
He gave the charge while addressing them for the first time after assumption of office as the Commissioner of the ministry for the second time.
While giving God the glory for returning him back to the Ministry, he said all press secretaries and information officers need to be on their toes and to do their work diligently especially because of the present political dispensation.
Prince Moronfoye who also used the occasion to thank the political leader, Senator Bukola Saraki and the state governor, Dr. AbdulFatah Ahmed for giving him the opportunity to serve for the second time, promised to push himself harder and that he does not expect anything less from his staff.
He reminded them that as civil servants, their loyalty must be for the government of the day because it is a government that has the interest of the people at heart.
Prince Moronfoye, who stressed the need for the information Officers to use the media to the government's advantage, said that the State Government's defection to All Progressive Congress (APC) will benefit the masses because when there is stiffer competition, the people are meant to benefit from it.
Earlier, the Director of personnel, Finance and Supply, Mr. Samuel Ajide, who gave the opening charge, prayed that the second coming of the commissioner will be for the good of the Ministry.
Also, the Director of Information Services, Mr. S.A.B. Odeyemi in his vote of thanks pledged the total support of the information officers and that everybody will work harder in order to record greater success of the government of Governor Ahmed in the state.
