Governor Ahmed approves promotion exercise for teachers

As part of efforts of to improve educational standard in Kwara State, the State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has approved the conduct of promotion exercise for teaching and non-teaching staff of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

The Chairman of SUBEB, Barrister Lanre Daibu, who disclosed this in Ilorin, said the promotion exercise is arranged for staff who are due for promotion in July 2012 and January 2013.

According to him, the screening test and interview have been scheduled for December 30 and 31, 2013. He, however, advised all candidates from grade level 7 to 10 to report for screening, while grade level 12 and above are to appear for written test and interview at designated centres of the sixteen local government areas.

While explaining that the test and interview remain the criterial for promotion, Daibu advised all the teachers to come to the centres with their last promotion letters and other credentials.
