NNL: Supreme Court FC Dare Wikki Tourists, Kwara United
The promoted Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Supreme Court FC, Abuja has said that they are ready for the coming league season, expected to kick off January 24 across the country.
The team manager, Tolulope Oguntimehin, who stated this in an exclusive chat with LEADERSHIP WEEKEND Sports, said that the management of the club is very supportive and has put in place everything that will ensure the team excels in the 2013/2014 league season.
“We have repositioned the team for the new season. If the league is to start today, I can assure you that we are ready. We have a crop of young players now in the team and we have been in the camp for the past eight weeks,” he said.
Against the background of his team being draw in Group A alongside Wikki Tourists, Kwara United, Kogi United, Adamawa United, Mighty Jets of Jos, Plateau United, Teap FC and Jigawa United, Oguntimehin insisted that his team has all it takes to compete against any club in the country.
He said that his confidence is based on the fact that the team played very well to gain promotion to the National league.
“We are not afraid of any team. We have a good team that can face any team in the league and this was evident in the way we played to gain promotion to the national league,’’ he said.
