Kwara Express targets world class service delivery
The Group Managing Director/CEO, Harmony Holdings Ltd, Mr. Tope Daramola has assured customers of Kwara State Transport Corporation (Kwara Express) of better days ahead in terms of world class service delivery standard and improved professional customer care relationship.
Mr. Daramola stated this at the formal handing over of office to the newly appointed Managing Director/CEO of the Kwara State Transport Corporation, Mr. Salau Alabi.
He further stated that the recruitment of Mr. Salau is one of the steps taken by the Holding company to steer the affairs of the corporation back on the path of efficiency and profitability. Other steps envisaged to return the corporation back to its glory days include opening of more loading bays across the country, restructuring departments at the corporation to streamline functions, road and passenger safety measures, among others.
An indigene of Agbaji Quarters of lIorin West Local Government of Kwara State, Mr. Salau brings a wealth of experience and knowledge spanning more than thirty years in the automotive industry. He previously worked in organizations such as Leventis Motors, Kaduna, Honda Manufacturing Nig. Ltd, Lagos among others. His recruitment followed a six steps rigorous interview process which culminated in the conviction of the boards of the corporation and Harmony Holdings that he is the right candidate to take the affairs of Kwara Express to the next level.
Also speaking at the handing over formalities, Alhaji Abdulsalam Olanrewaju, a member of the Board of Kwara State Transport Corporation, welcomed the new CEO on behalf of the board, management and entire staff of the corporation. He assured the staff of the corporation that the board members were fully involved in the recruitment process which culminated in their ratification of the appointment of Mr. Salau. Alhaji Olanrewaju then solicited the support of the staff to support the new CEO and the Holding Company in their efforts to reposition the corporation for the good of all Kwarans.
Also present at the occasion were the Chairman of the Board of Kwara State Transport Corporation, Alhaji Bolaji Laaro, Mr. Adebayo Sanni, Group Executive Director, Commercial Ventures, Harmony Holdings Ltd, Alhaji Manzuma Ibrahim Kawu, Alhaji Fatai Okanlawon, Mr. Taiwo Fadipe (outgoing Acting General Manager) among others.
