PDP, APC are two sides of a coin - Omotosho
Kwara State Labour Party, LP, gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Mike Omotosho, has described the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressives Congress, APC, as merely two sides of a coin.
Omotosho in an interview with National Mirror at the weekend said APC is made up of those who left the PDP after they had been members of the party for many years before forming APC.
He said he was running for the governorship seat because of calls from the people of the state who were tired of politicians who would come to power but never better the lives of the citizens than they met it.
He said he became unhappy each time anyone who wants to better the lots of the people is denied the opportunity to do so by those who arrogate the power to make and unmake to themselves.
Omotosho said he would love to address the disillusion of Kwara State where youths, particularly young graduates could neither make a living nor get jobs after graduating from schools, adding that if elected governor, LP government under him would squarely pursue genuine minimum wage for workers, capture macro, micro, SMEs and PPP programmes.
Also, he promised to provide good health care by building on the efforts of past administrations without jeopardy nor render useless such previous efforts.
Meanwhile, Omotosho on Valentine Day in Ilorin donated a bus and mobility devices to the Association of People Living with Disability in the state.
The mobility devices included wheel chairs, crutches and artificial limbs to the physically challenged persons which he did at a get together party he hosted for the association members at their secretariat on AbdulKadir Road, GRA, Ilorin.
He disclosed of plans by his party to constitute a pressure group to lobby President Goodluck Jonathan to sign the bill on physically challenged persons to put an end to the discrimination against them
