Kwara Assembly intervenes in Budo-Egba's erratic power supply

Following erratic power supply in Budo-Egba community in Ilorin, Kwara State, the state House of Assembly has urged Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, to direct the state Ministry of Energy, to supply appropriate transformer to the area.

The people of Budo-Egba community had written a petition to complain about the erratic supply of electricity by the PHCN to the community.

Speaker, Rt. Hon. Razaq Atunwa, who was represented by his deputy, Hon. Professor Mohammed Gana Yisa, gave the directive when the House considered the report presented by the House Chairman, Committee on Energy, Works and Transport, Hon. Abdulganiyu Abdulkareem on the petition.

In its resolution at the end of the report, the House also urged the governor to direct the Ministry of Energy to also ensure that only quality transformers were used for all electrification jobs in the state.

The House also urged Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed to, as a matter of urgency, direct the Ministry of Energy to replace poor service wires, conductors and other accessories supplying power to Budo-Egba community.
