Ahmed Administration's Response to Belgore's Puzzling Statement
As we have variously stated, the ACN needs to come up viable alternatives to government policy rather than indulge in a vain attempt to downplay the achievement of the Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed administration. The contradiction in Mr. Dele Belgore’s statement is glaring to all but him. If his disappointed supporters are disillusioned by his failure to provide them the jobs he promised prior to the 2011 elections, where else will they turn but to the PDP administration which has provided thousands of youths jobs since inception? These include 2000 jobs within the administration’s 100 days in office and the eventual generation of 4000 permanent jobs in less than 2 years. Our successful bridge empowerment scheme, KWABES has not only empowered thousands of youths but has now been adopted by other states across the country.
For once, Belgore should suspend politicking and acknowledge the Ahmed administration’s triumphs which are obvious to all but the embattled opposition. These achievements include rural/urban road construction and rehabilitation, supply of laboratory equipment to schools, rehabilitation of basic and senior secondary school classrooms, rural and urban electrification, the remodelling of 5 general hospitals, provision of 220 boreholes and rehabilitation work on 13 waterworks, the on-going construction of a first-class International Vocational Centre and Engineering Complex at KWASU among others.
These strides are obvious to all but the ACN which is daily haemorrhaging disillusioned members who are then trooping en-masse to the high performing PDP.
