The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has paraded three persons suspected to be criminals terrorizing the state.

Two of the suspects, Jamiu Abdullahi, 35 and Raifu Ismail, 30 both of Oja-Gboro Area, Ilorin, were said to be specialists in stealing motorcycles, while the third suspect, Lekan Ibrahim, 19 of Gambari Area, Ilorin, was accused of stealing an handset.

Briefing newsmen on the activities of the command at its headquarters, GRA, Ilorin, the Public Relation Officer (PRO), Mr. Kadri Olarewaju said the duo left Ilorin for Offa, Offa Local Government Area, Kwara State to steal a motorcycle.

He said that the suspects were arrested through the intelligence work of their men, while the stolen motor bike was recovered.

According to the PRO, Ibrahim was arrested at an electronics store along Sango Area, Ilorin, having been accused of stealing a Blackberry handset.

The PRO stated that the suspect hired a commercial motorcyclist to the shop and went to unplug a handset from where it was being charged before nemesis caught up with him.

The PRO however said that the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution after they might have completed investigation.

“I want to use this medium to warn crimnals that Kwara State is not a hidden place for you, as our men are fully on ground to ensure the adquate security of lives and properties of the citizens”, the PRO added.
