Business Expert Chief Omogbenle Adeyemi Declares Interest for House of Representatives Seat
A business expert in Kwara State, Chief Omogbenle Adeyemi, has officially announced his interest in representing the Ekiti/Oke-Ero/Isin/Irepodun federal constituency in the House of Representatives under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adeyemi made the declaration at his Oke-Opin hometown after meeting with key stakeholders in the area. He pledged to work closely with security agencies to curb insecurity in rural areas and collaborate with relevant government bodies and organizations to "improve safety in our towns and villages."
Adeyemi stated that his focus is on transformative representation, anchored in practical solutions and policies that prioritize the needs of the people. His approach, he said, aims not only to address immediate concerns but also to lay a foundation for sustainable growth and prosperity in his constituency.
Emphasizing the need to elevate the role of traditional rulers within local governance, Adeyemi committed to respect for cultural heritage and the significance of traditional leadership in community development.
He said that he is committed to improving local infrastructure, emphasising urgent necessity for development projects such as road construction, upgraded water supply systems, and enhanced social amenities.
"Our people deserve better infrastructure, and I am dedicated to attracting the right projects to our constituency", he said.
In addition to infrastructure development, he identified importance of empowerment and inclusive growth.
He expressed his determination to create job opportunities and promote entrepreneurship by fostering partnerships through his experience, specifically targeting youth, women, and marginalized groups.
"We will establish avenues for employment and entrepreneurship," he pledged, underscoring the critical need for economic revitalization in the area.
Acknowledging the vital role of agriculture in the local economy, Adeyemi assured farmers of comprehensive support, ranging from training programs to access to markets and distribution of agricultural inputs. This support aims to boost food production, enhance food security, and ultimately strengthen the livelihoods of those in the agricultural sector.
A philanthropist known for his advocacy in education, Adeyemi also shared his ambitious plans to advocate for legislative measures that enhance educational access and equity.
"I firmly believe that every child must have the opportunity to be educated, and I will actively pursue this through targeted laws and programs," he affirmed, demonstrating his commitment to fostering a brighter future for the next generation.
