CP Adekimi Ojo Urges New Constables to Uphold Integrity Human Rights
The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, Adekimi Ojo, has charged new police constables to embrace professionalism and respect for human rights as they begin their service.
CP Ojo was speaking at the police command headquarters in Ilorin while receiving about 142 police constables who passed out on Wednesday, having undergone six months of rigorous training at the Police Training School, Ilorin. The training concluded with a colourful passing out parade ceremony on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The Commissioner urged the new officers to uphold integrity, discipline, professionalism, and, most importantly, respect for the rule of law and human rights in the discharge of their duties.
Adekimi emphasized discipline as the bedrock of the Nigeria Police Force and admonished them to shun corrupt practices and work in line with best international standard procedures.
He expressed deep appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for his exemplary leadership style, which centres on proactive intelligence led policing and strategic community engagements. The CP also thanked Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his continued support to the Kwara State Police Command.
"His Excellency has approved a two-week comprehensive intelligence operations program for the new police constables by AIG Fimihan Adeoye rtd, the C.E.O Fimihan Adeoye Security Consult.
?"The training begins 26th of October, 2025; upon its completion the constables will be deployed to their respective Local Government Areas in the state to further strengthen field operations and analytical capabilities," he added.
