NGF Expresses Solidarity with Adamawa as Flooding Claims Lives and Displaces Thousands
 
    
The Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF) has expressed deep concern over severe flooding in Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas of Adamawa State, which has resulted in loss of life, property damage, and mass displacement of residents.
In a statement issued by NGF Chairman and Kwara State Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the forum extended solidarity to Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and his administration as they mobilise resources to address the crisis. Governor AbdulRazaq stated: "We stand with the people of Adamawa during this difficult period and commend the swift deployment of police and Nigerian Army marine units to rescue affected residents."
The NGF praised the joint emergency response efforts initiated at the state government's request, highlighting the importance of coordinated action in mitigating disaster impacts. The forum reaffirmed its commitment to supporting states facing natural disasters through resource sharing and policy collaboration.
The Forum gave assurance of it's firm solidarity with Governor Fintiri and the people of Adamawa at this difficult moment.
It promised to offer its own support to complement the various help that the state can get and deserved to cope with this humanitarian situation.
