Kwara Sports Chief Urges Athletes to Target Medals and Surpass Past Achievements

Bolakale Mogaji, Executive Chairman of the Kwara Sports Commission, has urged state athletes to stay focused and target medals at upcoming competitions.

Speaking to journalists in Abeokuta on Monday, Mr. Mogaji expressed confidence in Kwara's prospects, stating: "I'm optimistic we'll exceed our previous medal tally."

"Our athletes are primed to deliver exceptional performances and make a lasting impact," he said.

Mogaji advised coaches to remain composed under pressure and ensure punctuality for scheduled events.

"Stay calm, and make sure you're at the venue before the official start time,"he said.

The chairman acknowledged the unwavering support of Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, describing it as a significant morale boosting for the team.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the games which kicked off on Sunday will end on May 30.
