Kwara Launches Expanded Coding Programme to Empower 7,500 Students Across 50 Schools
The Kwara State Government, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, will officially launch the 2025 Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Program today.
Building on the success of the 2024 initiative, which empowered students with skills in project building, Python, web development, and innovative thinking across six centres in the state's three senatorial districts, this year's programme will significantly expand its reach.
The 2025 edition will now extend transformative digital education to 50 public secondary schools across Kwara State, equipping 7,500 students with essential coding knowledge and digital literacy.
This expansion underscores the state government's commitment to fostering digital inclusion, innovation, and technological empowerment among the youth.
The phased rollout will commence with schools in the Kwara Central Senatorial District this week, followed by the Kwara South and Kwara North Senatorial Districts in the coming weeks.
This initiative aligns with Governor AbdulRazaq's vision of a technologically advanced and economically viable Kwara, where young people are equipped to compete and thrive in a world increasingly driven by technology and innovation.
