Kwara's New Flyovers Named After Emir of Ilorin and Gen. Idiagbon
History will be made in Kwara State today as Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, commissions two flyovers constructed by the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Named in honour of the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari CFR, and the late General Tunde Idiagbon, the flyovers are strategically located in Ilorin, the state capital. They are expected to significantly improve traffic flow and boost the state's economy.
The First Lady touched down in Ilorin yesterday on a three-day visit. She headed to Kwara State University of Education, where she inaugurated the ICT Community Centre, built by the NITDA in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), her foundation. Senator Oluremi also commissioned an ultra-modern Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dr. Amuda Aluko Ward constructed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Aside from the two flyovers the First Lady will commission during this period, she will also be taken on a tour of a few other iconic projects of Governor AbdulRazaq-led administration, such as the Innovation Hub, Visual Arts Centre, Sugar Factory Film Studio and the Garment Factory.
