The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has warmly congratulated the newly elected national leadership of the Ilorin Emirate Youths Development Association (IEYDA) on their successful election.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari praised the Executive Council members, calling them proud ambassadors of the Ilorin Emirate. He noted that their commendable efforts over the past decade have positively impacted youths, women, orphans, and other vulnerable groups within the community.

The Emir specifically congratulates the outgoing National President, Alhaji Abdullahi Salaudeen, for the laudable leadership qualities injected into the association which promotes cohesion, peace and development among inhabitants of Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

He however expressed confidence in the in-coming Executive Council under the leadership of Alhaji Uthman Jagunmo adding that, “He performed excellently well in his previous position and I have no doubt in his ability to take IEYDA to a greater height during his tenure.”

The Emir therefore thanked IEYDA for the smooth selection of new leaders and appealed to governments at all levels as well as private individuals to continue to support them in their desire to support the less privileged in the society.
