Common Entrance Exam: Stop Extorting Pupils, Kwara Govt Warns Teachers
According to a news report from Daily Trust, the Kwara State government has issued a warning to principals, head teachers, and pupils to steer clear of any form of examination malpractice during the upcoming Common Entrance Examination, which is set to take place across all 16 local government areas in the state.
Peter Amogbonjaye, the spokesman for the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, stated in a press release that the Common Entrance (Placement) Examination for admission into junior secondary schools is scheduled for this coming Saturday.
He confirmed that the state government has absorbed the costs associated with the placement examination.
Amogbonjaye further cautioned that any principal or head teacher found to be soliciting illegal payments from pupils would be subject to severe legal action.
He urged the public to be aware that the examination date remains unchanged.
“No pupil will be allowed to sit for the examination without their screen card,” he added.
