Kwara Leaders Hail Sulaiman's Appointment As Pro Chancellor

According to a news report from Leadership, the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr Kayode Alabi, has urged Professor Wale Sulaiman to leverage his extensive expertise and vast knowledge of medicine to effect significant changes at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, Osun State.

Alabi made this remark during a gathering celebrating Sulaiman's appointment as the pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun.

He acknowledged the enormous task and high expectations the new responsibility bestows on Sulaiman, urging him to “sustain his legacy of excellence and innovation as he takes the driver's seat in the University.”

In his comments, former Kwara State governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed, reiterated the need for leaders to deploy their collective strength to negotiate for the rights and benefits of Kwara southerners, adding that, “Prof. Sulaiman had united leaders in Kwara South during this critical time”.

In his remarks, former chairman of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, Hon Bashiru Bolarinwa, expressed his belief that “Prof. Sulaiman has the wherewithal to manage the institution in line with global best practices.”
