I'm monitoring reports of Abuja-Kaduna train bombing - Saraki
Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki says he is monitoring reports of the bomb attack on a train heading to Kaduna from Abuja on Monday.
DAILY POST had reported that bandits in their numbers, detonated a bomb on the Railtrack of Abuja-Kaduna train and successfully immobilized it at a point between Katari and Rijana.
According to reports, many persons were abducted by the bloodthirsty armed men during the incident.
Reacting, Saraki, who is also a former governor of Kwara State, said he was monitoring reports of the incident.
He said the incessant attacks on railways needed urgent solutions.
He commiserated with the families of those who were affected by the attack, praying that the perpetrators be apprehended soon.
"I am monitoring the reports of the bombing of the Abuja-Kaduna train tracks with great concern. We need real solutions to address this menace and end the loss of lives of innocent Nigerians.
"My prayers are with the hundreds of people and their families who are affected by this senseless attack.
"I pray that the attackers will be apprehended forthwith and our security agencies enhance their efforts in our ports and railways", Saraki said in a post on his Facebook page.
