KWARA State government is set to come down hard on illegal tertiary institution and coaching centres in the state.

Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and technology Ibrahim Sulyman said this in Ilorin, the state capital at the inauguration of a seven-man taskforce on revenue collection from advanced coaching centres and private tertiary Institutions in the state.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Hajia Hafsat AbdulRahman, the commissioners urged members to be diligent and honest in the discharge of their duties.

The taskforce is chaired by Banigbe Rotimi Williams, while Pastor Olagunju Felix is the secretary of the taskforce. Members of the taskforce include Mr. Ibrahim Musa, Mallam Ibrahim Ahmed and Mr.Sulyman Shehu Adejumo. Others are Salahudeen Isiaaq and Mr. Moshood Tijani.

The taskforce's terms of reference include; to identify both legal and illegal advanced coaching centers and private tertiary Institutions in the state; to identify those who have paid regularly and those that are defaulting; to identify newly established Advanced coaching centers and private tertiary Institutions; to ensure up-to-date payment of registration and to ensure that all advanced coaching centers and private institutions in the state provide evidence of registration with the Ministry.

The taskforce has three weeks to submit its report.
