Open Letter to KWASU VC by NANS Kwara

Date: 2012-10-16

AN OPEN LETTER OF APPEAL

We bring you a solidarity greeting from the kwara State Secretariat of NANS, representing the entire Nigerian Students schooling in Kwara State, as we humbly refer you to the above subject matter.

We are obliged to inform you that this letter is jointly written by all STUDENT UNION GOVERNMENTS in Kwara State under the umbrella body of NANS KWARA.
With all sense of concern, we want to sympathize once again with all fellow students of KWASU that are affected with the previous issue of late registration that led to protest and eventually metamorphosed to expulsion saga. We with all hearts condemn any act that will bastardize the good image of this Mega Institution (Kwasu) under your efficacious leadership.

We gratefully appreciate your kindness to the students in generality most especially your commitments towards an excellent and outstanding academic productivity coupled with qualitative moral behaviours.

Sir, it is obvious that the issue of the past protest has served as a great lesson to all; hence, we believe everyone must have taken his own share of experience and deterrent.
We unanimously want to express our concern for our fellow students and humbly appeal to you on their behalf, in expectation that our appeal will be granted.
According to our experience, it has always been observed that one of the factors that usually facilitate and generate rebellions on campuses is mass failure and expulsion, which we strongly understand is contrary to your stand and mission in sanitizing and upholding the dignity of this new Generation University for community development (Kwasu).

With all humility and sense of responsibility, we want to consolidate the efforts of all students, parents, guidance and stake holders that have been appealing to you on behalf of the affected students over this issue, as we candidly believe you will regard this humbleness of ours in generality and the plea of the aforementioned set of people.
Having considered this request absolutely granted, it is our pleasure to inform you that all STUDENT UNION GOVERNMENT LEADERS in all Institutions in Kwara State (13 Campuses) under the virile leadership body of NANS KWARA will be paying an appreciation visit to your amiable personality on Monday, 22nd October 2012.
Thanks for your anticipated cooperation, consideration, accommodation and hospitality.

Signed:

COMR. AKOREDE SHAKIR LOM (CHAIRMAN, NANS KWARA)

COMR. OLAWALE KAYODE (GEN. SEC)
