Kwara State Plans to Attract Foreign Investors - Hajia Ramata Adesina-Abaya
The Kwara State Government, North Central Nigeria has reiterated its readiness to tap all the tourism potentials in the State to improve its socio-economic activities and attract foreign investors to the State.
The State Commissioner for Social Development, Culture and Tourism, Hajia Ramata Adesina-Abaya, gave the assurance during an interview with VON.
"The government is harnessing the potentials of the tourism sector by undertaking feasibility studies on the selected sites for would be investors," Hajia Abaya said.
Partnership
According to her, the Ministry is partnering with prospective investors on the development of the sector, pointing out that the feasibility studies was carried on the Owu fall, Imolebaja Rock shelter and Dada Pottery village.
Others, she said are Inland Beach at Jebba, Sheikh Alimi Islamic Centre at Kuo and State Tourism Board's premises.
Speaking on this year's National festival for Arts and Culture to be hosted in Kwara State, Hajia Abaya disclosed that about sixty-seven thousand people from different parts of Nigeria and outside the country would participate, saying that preparation was on to ensure successful hosting.
On the role of the Kwara State Council for Arts and Culture in projecting the image of the State and Nigeria, Hajia Abaya stated that the Council had been promoting, preserving and developing the Arts and Culture within and outside the State.
