Kwara United rejoice with Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq as he marks 1 year in office

Date: 2020-05-29

The entire management, staff, coaching crew and players of Kwara United felicitates with Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq on the anniversary of his first year in office as Governor.

Like yesterday when Kwarans all voted for a gentle and humble man called Abdulrahman, he immediately started changing the faces of the state with rapid developments.

Kwara United in a statement made officially on Friday morning, May 29, thanked His Excellency for his awesome support and love since he became the number one citizen in the State of Harmony.

1. Giving out a Coaster Bus

It is no longer news that Kwara United began the season in the National League in which the team had serious challenges with the bus while traveling for away matches most especially during the pre season games.

Governor Abdulrahman noticed this and called the Chairman of the club Kumbi Titiloye in which a key for a new Coaster Bus was handed over to him.

Since the collection of the Bus, it has been of great help for Kwara United in away games.

2. NPFL ticket for Kwara United

The current Kwara United management met the team in the lower division in which they began superb processes that would have helped the team get promotion back to the top flight.

And after playing the first game against Gombe United in the National League which Kwara United won in Ilorin, Delta Force made it known of their willingness to sell their NPFL slot.

Governor Abdulrahman got to know about the information then, and he instructed Kwara United management to go for the slot which sent the Harmony Boys back to the First Division.

GAIN: Kwara United and fans are grateful to Governor Abdulrahman for this gesture because the team would have remained in the National League which has no specific date of resumption if the NPFL ticket was not acquired.

Fans are glad with the return of top flight games to Ilorin before the League was suspended due to the continuous threat of Covid-19.

3. Prompt payment of Salary

Abdulrahman has exemplified superb quality in this department as he has proven since he became Governor that the welfare of all workers in the State is among his top priorities.

Kwara United have been getting monthly subvention without delay which is being used for the payment of salaries for players, staffs, coaches and other logistics.

Although, Kwara United might not be able to itemize all the goodies the club have gotten since Governor Abdulrahman came into office as we wish him a successful tenor and pray for God to give him more wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.
