IEYDA: Ilorin Youths laud Senator Rafiu's contributions to Association's devt

A socio-cultural group, Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has presented a certificate of commendation to the former Kwara South Senator, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim for his numerous contributions to the development of the association.

The youth association presented the certificate to the former lawmaker at its 6th annual empowerment programme held on Saturday 11th January, 2020 in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Soliu (OON) presented the certificate of commendation to the senator at the event which was well attended by spiritual and traditional leaders as well as well-meaning sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate.

Senator Rafiu, who was represented by his media aide, Abdulqadir Abdulganiyu, commended the leadership of IEYDA for promoting entrepreneurship among Ilorin youths, which he said would assist in reducing poverty.

He promised he would continue to support activities of the association targeted at uplifting the less privileged in the society.

In his remarks, the National President of the IEYDA, Alhaji Abdullahi Babatunde Saluhudeen hailed Senator Rafiu for always supporting the association at all times.
