Olofa Charges Offa Indigenes Abroad
The Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II has charged Offa sons and daughters abroad to remember the community in terms of development projects.
The monarch gave the charge during a week prayer session held in Olofa's palace last week.
The Oba, who stressed the importance of the second edition of the Ijakadi festival slated for December 2012, urged individuals and groups to fulfill their financial obligations towards the success of the event just as he implored them to make peace, unity and development thier watchwords.
The oba who used the occasion to congratulate them on the just concluded Ramadan fast disclosed that he had embarked on the construction of five hundred modern shops at Ajegunle market, Offa for public use adding that when completed, interested individuals will be invited to purchase them, pointing out that the project is to boost the socio-economic development in Offa town.
Earlier in his address of welcome, the Chairman of the association, Alhaji L. B. Lawal commended the Olofa for his development efforts and achievements so far urging him not to rest on his oars and prayed for his successful reign as he urged all Offa sons and daughters to be their brothers keepers.
