President not sick – Lai Moh'd

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has denied some media reports that President Buhari's ill health caused his absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

Some Nigerians were already speculating that President Buhari might be seriously ill, hence his absence from the meeting.

However speaking with journalists after the FEC meeting Mohammed said said President Buhari is hail and healthy and was carrying out other state functions during the FEC meeting.

The Minister added that it is not abnormal for the Vice President to preside over the FEC meeting whether the President is in the country or not.
