Ahmed praises Kwara workers for hard-work
Civil servants in Kwara State have been urged to remain committed to the ideals of the service and the realisation of the good governance goals designed for the state towards achieving Shared Prosperity Programme.
Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed gave this charge in Ilorin when he paid an unscheduled visit to some government offices; he described the Shared Prosperity Programme as an article of faith.
Ahmed stated that, his administration would implement to the letter a service charter that places emphasis on programme management, monitoring and reward.
He also attributed the occasional delay in the payment of salaries of some public service workers to the delay in the disbursement of federal allocations.
"My administration will always pursue people oriented programmes with an assurance that they are kernel to the realisation of his administration's programmes and policies.
"Civil servants, Muslims and non-Muslims should use the holy month of Ramadan to be more dedicated to the spirit of nation building and good neighbourliness for the betterment of our dear country", the governor urged.
He therefore stressed that, "Our happiness must be derived from the happiness of our neighbours. Let's be our brothers' keeper."
