The Kwara State Government has been urged to include the control of ecological challenges in the state in the 2013 budget.

The advice was given by the State House of Assembly in recommendation of the report of its committee on Energy, Works and Transport on "Save our souls appeal", written by Amule-lele Development Association in Ilorin East Local Government.

The House directed Ministry of Environment and Forestry to prevent roro-bin to areas that have none to curtain the menace of dumping refuse into the rivers.

If ordered Ilorin East Local Government to partner with the state government in the re-construction of the said bridge construction of the said bridge and the road.

In another development, the House through its recommendation on the report of its committee on public petitions titled "Letter of Complaint" written by Tanke Bubu Community Development Association resolved that since the nucleus of the matter, which is the establishment of another Church in the area, does not subsist, and coupled with the fact that the student fellowship had moved to their permanet site, far away from the community, the matter be laid to rest.

Meantime, the bill for a law to amend the State Joint Local Government Account Allocation Committee Establishment law, was read on the floor for the first time.

The motion for the first reading was moved by Majority Leader, Hon Abdulkareem Abdulganiyu and seconded by Hon. Nimota Ibrahim of Ilorin East constituency.

The Deputy Speaker, Prof. Muhammed Gana Yisa who presided over the proceeding, referred the bill to the House Committee on Rules and Business for proper scheduling for second reading.
