The Moloku community of Gaa-Akanbi area in Ilorin South Local Government to reconstruct the road and the fallen bridge in the area.

One of the community leaders in the are, Elder David Oladosu, told newsmen in Ilorin that 'save our soul' messages had been forwarded to the appropraite quarters but to no avail.

Elder David Oladosu appealed to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed to find a lasting solution to the road.

He stated "The road leading to Offa-Garage area is in a deplorable state and had since become a major source of concern to the residents of the area.

"The bad road has caused untold hardship to the residents as the road, coupled with the fallen bridge, is no longer motorable.

"It is our intention to reconstruct the fallen bridge and the road, but we realize that it is very expensive and we cannot afford it."

The Moloku street, which connects Offa-Garage to other neighbouring areas, is no longer motorable. It has turned to a shadow of its old self.

The Yalu river under the bridge was said to have washed away the only bridge which was constructed through communal effort.
