The Kwara State Police Command has appealed to residents to monitor their present and former domestic servants, as it parades a suspected three-man armed robbery gang that attacked and robbed a lecturer in University of Ilorin.

The commissioner of police, Olusola Amore, said the armed gang was led by a former driver of Professor Abdullahi Onimisi of the University of Ilorin.

Amore, who said that people should have documentation of their domestic staff for security purposes, added that they should also monitor them even while out of service.

The police boss said that the former driver, Opeyemi Esan, allegedly came from Lagos State to recruit two others in Ilorin and robbed the lecturer.
