Eld-El-Kabir Festival: Stay away from acts that can cause disaffection, Mike Omotosho urges Nigerians

Date: 2016-09-11

As Muslims across the world celebrate this year's Eid-El-kabir festival on Monday Nigerians, particularly kwarans have been advised not to engage in act that could cause disaffection or disunity in the country.

They were also charged to guide against utterances and behaviours that capable of causing crisis and tarnishing the image of kwara and Nigeria as a whole.

The founder of Mike Omotosho Foundation, Dr Mike Omotosho, (omo to sure) said this at the weekend in a congratulatory message he personally issued to felicitate with Muslims and the people of Kwara State on Eld-El-Kabir Festival.

Omotosho said the current economic recession and other challenges the country is facing should not be allowed to cause disaffection or disunity among the people, but should be seen as a blessing in disguise to further develop the nation and for the people to work together as a united entity.

He therefore appealed to Muslim ummah to use the occasion of the festival to beseech Allah and pray for peace, progress, and development of the country.

Omotosho who is also the Governor General Rotary Club International District 9125, felicitated with the people of Kwara State, particularly, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and all traditional rulers in the state on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir festival.

Omotosho implored all the people of the state to continue to be law abiding and work together as a strong team for the growth and development of the state.

He charged them to sustain the relative peace and harmony the state is known for at all times and be security conscious, pledging his support and commitment to uplift the wellbeing of the people of the state through his Non Governmental Organization, Mike Omotosho Foundation.

Omotosho noted that as part of the activities marking the Eld-El-Kabir Festival, the Foundation would celebrate Salah with the less Privileged people in the society on Tuesday at the Mike Omotosho Foundation Office along Fate road, Ilorin.
