Members of the academic community yesterday described Oloyede's appointment as JAMB Registrar as the best decision taken so far by Buhari-led administration.

In separate telephone interview with The Herald, the Dean, Postgraduate School, University of Ilorin, Professor Badmas 'Lanre Yusuf, said the appointment did not come by accident but owing to ex-VC's colossal experience and track record in the educational administration.

He noted that the JAMB boss was a dynamic and focus scholar with uncommon sense of patriotism and piety.

Yusuf, a Professor of Islamic Studies, said the former Unilorin VC was going to a familiar terrain where he would bring his wealth of experience to bear.

He said he received the news of appointment with happiness, saying he was very proud of the former VC.

Also speaking, Head of Department of the Performing Arts, University of Ilorin, Professor Abdulrasheed Abiodun Adeoye, said JAMB would witness rapid development with Oloyede's appointment.

He identified the appointee as a strong goal getter and seasoned administrator, who will work with fear of God.

Adeoye, who also described Oloyede as an individual with sense of innovations, urged staff of the board to fasten their belt because Oloyede was known for his indifference for laziness.
