2016 Hajj : Kwara ensures precaution, sponsors 20 officials
The Kwara Government has sponsored 20 Officials to Saudi Arabia to provide welfare for the intending Pilgrims to 2016 Hajj from the state.
The secretary to the state government Alhaji Isiaka Gold who was represented by the Permanent Secretary General services, Alhaji AbdulRauf Ayinla said the 20 Officials includes medical team, welfare Officers among others.
According to him, the state Government took the decision for the betterment of the Pilgrims despite the economic predicament facing the state.
The Executive Secretary of the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Hajia Fatimah Jimoh, said the medical screening for the intending Pilgrims would commence after Ramadan.
The executive Secretary added that 1,933 intending pilgrims and ten officials are expected to perform the 2016 Hajj.
