CCT trial: Youth group organizes multi denominational prayer for Saraki
The group in a press release jointly signed by the group’s Chairman and Secretary Hon. Sunkanmi Ere-Oye and Comrade Yinka Dallas respectively, a copy of which was made available to this medium in Ilorin yesterday.
They decried the continued victimization of the Senate President and the Chairman of the National Assembly, adding that regardless of political differences, state institutions should under no guise be used to settle scores.
It described as against all known procedures the way and manner the prosecution is being carried out, adding that they have concluded arrangements to organize a multi denominational prayer session aimed towards seeking God’s eye for saraki’s victory come March 18.
According to the group’s secretary and convener of the prayer session Comrade Yinka Dallas, he said “After duly considering the allegations against Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and caliber of the jurist who also have corruption allegation hanging on his neck, it is clear that the trial is set out to embarrass the person of the Senate President.
“This is not to say we are against the anti-corruption fight of the Buhari led Federal government, we sincerely want to enjoin all Nigerians to give full support to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) whose new chairman has brought a new vigour to the organization.
“We however want to enjoin them to adhere strictly to the rule of law and stare clear of politicking and politicians, they should not allow politicians to use them in settling scores” he stressed.
Dallas however stressed the importance of prayer for the Saraki, stressing that it is only God that deliver him from the “enemies of Nigeria, who are behind this persecution and numerous media attack on his person.
“We have scheduled an interdenominational prayer session at Image Garden Hotel Oro/Esie to run concurrently with the proceedings (March 18), we however besiege all lovers of Saraki, starting from the Governor Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed and all other members of the Saraki political family to partner us by helping in making sure the programs is a success” he added.
