Kwara Church Counsels Teens On Career Opportunities
The teens' chapel of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Sabo-Oke, Ilorin, has concluded a professional services programme designed to guide teenagers in their choices of careers.
The programme brought together experts in different professions who took their turn to educate the teenagers on how to attain great heights in their careers of choice.
Among the professionals that participated in the professional service were Mr Tunde Areo, a banker; Dr. Mrs. Yetunde Olasinde, a doctor; Engr. Samson Odeyemi, an engineer and Barrister Sunday Olawepo, a lawyer.
The experts in their various career talks said "every profession requires hard work and dedication to excel."
According to Mr Tunde Areo, a banker, working in the banking sector requires accounting and writing skill to communicate with customers, time consuming and deprived one of social life.
For Dr Olasinde, "being a medical doctor could also be tedious so one must read wide."
"You have to be caring to patients. It is time consuming and if careless you can contact some communicable disease," she said.
Also speaking, Engr. Odeyemi said those who wished to become engineers must be ready make life "convenient through innovations and construction."
>According to Barrister Olawepo, the legal profession "is the most diversified profession," advising those who wished to practise to brace up for the challenges of the job.
