Ncf To Hold Zonal Male, Female Cricket Championships In November

The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) on Tuesday said it would hold zonal cricket championships for the senior male and female categories in five of the country's six geo-political zones.

Musa Ehizoje, the federation's Public Relations Officer (PRO), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that the championships were aimed at sustaining the game's growth.

"Starting from Nov. 6, till Nov. 8, Kwara will be hosting states in the North-Central while Edo will host the South-South region.

"All the South-East states will assemble in Anambra, while Oyo state will host the South-West event. Also, Kaduna State will be home for the North-West states, all in the female category.

"In the male category, FCT will host the North-Central states from Nov. 13 to Nov. 16 while South-South states will travel to Cross River for the event.

"Oyo State will host all the South-West states while Kaduna State and Anambra will host the North-West and South-East states respectively.
