Three pupils drowned in Kwara community

Three male pupils of Ayaki Secondary School in Okerimi-Oro community, Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, have died inside a well.

The names of the deceased are - Naijim Saka, Ismail Yusuf and Ojo Igbalajobi. The Nation gathered that one of the three kids had attempted to draw water from the well in the community to perform ablution last Friday when he mistakenly fell inside the well.

Two of the drowned pupils were aged 14, while the third victim was 15. A member of the community said,"instead of alerting adults around to rescue his drowning mate, he tried to climb down the well to do the rescue operation, but also fell inside and likewise the third boy. That incident has thrown the entire community into mourning."
