The former Speaker of the Kwara State Assembly and Member of House of Federal House of Representatives, Barr. Razak Atunwa has congratulated the newly elected Speaker of Kwara State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ali Ahmad, a former lawmaker representing Ilorin South/East Constituency.

Atunwa who passed a vote of confidence in the emergence of Ali Ahmad made this known in a statement signed by his Spokesman, Olawale Rotimi. Atunwa who had earlier charged lawmakers of the 8th Kwara Assembly to serve the people with their various offices, also congratulate the newly elected Speaker of Kwara Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ali Ahmad.

"Congratulations to Rt. Hon. Dr Ali Ahmad on being elected Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly. I'm confident he'll do a wonderful job. I also congratulate Kwarans on this occasion, the election of Rt. Hon. Ali Ahmad, a competent and brilliant leader indicates that the Assembly is on the right path of progress and development of our dear state" he said.

Barr. Atunwa called on members of the 8th Assembly to support the newly elected Speaker in order to ensure smooth legislation. "I call on members of the Assembly to give Rt. Hon. Ali Ahmad full support in ensuring peace, stability and productivity in the 8th Assembly. The leadership of the House needs the unified support of members in discharging its duties, I urge members to exercise maturity, commitment and passion for progress in support of the Assembly leadership" he added.

Atunwa also congratulated Kwarans and urged them to continue in their support for the Kwara State Assembly in discharging its duties for the progress of Kwara.
